Christ our Teacher and Model

We are proud of our community at St. Bonaventure School.  As a new administration team; Ms. Brodie and I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome from parents, staff and students.

 At St. Bonaventure school our focus is student achievement in a Christ centered community.  However, we know that St. Bonaventure provides so much more. The many activities that staff and parents do for our students, to help them maintain a balance in their lives that emphasizes the physical, spiritual, emotional and social growth as well.   This year our school theme will be Christ Our Teacher and Model. Our community will look at ways in which to emulate Christ’s teachings in our daily lives.

In September, so many new and exciting things are happening to and for our students and our staff always do their best to make that transition from summer to school start up as smooth as possible.  Please be patient as there are changes in staff, administration and of course students. 

This year Edmonton Catholic School’s theme is: Called by the Spirit, Setting Hearts and Minds on Fire. Superintendent Joan Carr and our Trustees recognize that we are called by the Holy Spirit to teach our children’s hearts and minds the stories and lessons of Jesus Christ. We are reminded that we are not alone. In fact in John 14 Christ tells his apostles: “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not let them be afraid…I will not leave you alone…I will ask the Father and He will give you another advocate to be with you forever…The Spirit of Truth.”
